Pour the mixture of different ingredients in ant-prone areas. The mixture will surely work on killing the ants in the various areas in the house.

The mixture should contain the following powdered sugar, maple syrup, honey, boric acid, and borax.

The difference between boric acid and borax. Borax is a mineral that is extracted from the ground. Whereas boric acid is made after further processing the borax. Borax turns into boric acid after the exposure to sulphuric or hydrochloric acid.

Ingesting the boric acid

Notably so if you ingest boric acid or borax they are likely to be harmful to you as they are toxic to your system. However only boric acid is to be recommended as a pesticide whereas borax is recommended for laundry purposes. Borax has a high mineral concentration making it useful when mixed with sugar for use as a pesticide just like boric acid. Thus, both borax and boric acid can be utilized for killing ants, however, keep them both out of reach of pets and children as they are harmful substances when eaten.

The queen ant also feeds on fluid! Since ants live in colonies, you are probably dealing with a settlement and not just one ant. Therefore, you have to put the mixture of borax and sugar and boric acid in both solid food and liquids. By doing so, you will kill the worker ants that takes the food to the colony for the larvae and the liquid food for the queen ant.
